My Archaeological Digs

These are the digs i have been on since i started my degree. Some are compulsory and some I chose to get involved in.

Who I have worked with
Cornwall Archaeological Unit	I spent 2 weeks at Threemilestone, Cornwall in July 2004.
University of Leicester Archaeological Services	Ran my 2 week compulsory first year dig at Abbey Park, Leicester in July 2003.
Dr Sarah Tarlow	I spent 2 weeks working with Sarah in August 2004 recording and surveying St Margarets churchyard and Welford Road Cemetery. This research is for a publication on status shown through tombstones.

British Archaeology Jan/Feb 2005	This is the internet copy of the article about the discovery of the Threemilestone roundhouses in Cornwall. Unfortunately this does not have the photo which shows me excavating the amphora rim which was in the printed journal article!
Cornwall Archaeological Unit	This is a link to the press release containing information about the finds at Threemilestone. Again the amphora rim I excavated is detailed to be an extremely rare, imported Dressel I type for transporting wine and possibly from Italy.
